The journey of My Tribe Women of Purpose Network began in 2018, born out of personal hardship and a deep desire for change. Our founder, a single mother from an ethnic minority background, faced overwhelming socio-economic challenges. Determined to break the cycle of poverty, gain financial independence, and become a role model for her daughter, she took a leap of faith and started a business.

However, without access to mentorship, business knowledge, or a supportive network, the business struggled and ultimately failed—leaving her in debt and deeper financial hardship. It was a difficult period that took years, resilience and her faith in God to recover from.

Through this experience, she came to a powerful realisation: her story was not unique. Too many women—especially ethnic minority women and single mothers—face the same barriers: limited access to resources, lack of training, systemic inequality, and little support to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams or professional ambitions.

From this place of lived experience and resilience, My Tribe Women of Purpose Network was founded. The vision is clear: to build a supportive community that empowers and uplifts marginalised women through entrepreneurship, leadership development, and personal growth based on Christian principles. The network provides coaching/mentorship, training programmes, business support services, and events designed to build confidence, promote economic independence, and create lasting, positive change.
